Marco Canvas incorporates both old, traditional work techniques and new digitalize tactics to create the best products for the customers. Doing this allows the products to be the most accurate and precise they can be. Along with making efficient solutions, Marco Canvas goal is to make the customers dreams and visions become a reality; whether it be for their porch, business, boat, or deck. Our advanced digital design technique is shown below. Cutting machines and tables aid in the process to produce the most precise cuts and details.
We are currently in our fourth generation of my family’s fabric companies. As a family we have been producing upholstered goods since 1920. As for Marco Canvas, today we have personnel who perform marine upholstery and have well over 100 years of combined marine upholstery experience. I should also note our collective experience is here in the subtropics, not in New Jersey, Ohio or Chicago. In short we know what we are doing in our market and have a “PROVEN" and positive 40-year-old track record in Florida.
Every customer, upon completion of our work, is sent a link to an anonymous survey so we can see how we are doing and what we need to do better. 91% of our customers rate our price to value ratio as excellent or good and over 70% of these customers rate us as an excellent value. This tells us our prices are fair. (I personally can account for every penny that goes into every job via a custom estimating system I built years ago and alter as needed. I do not know what the competitors are offering for a lower rate. I do know that in the end you get what you pay for.) We do over $1M/yr. in marine products alone, (though not our only revenue source), and we are growing at a 40% compounded rate annually, despite the economy, as customers seek value oriented providers and shun the others.
When needed, a Marco Canvas team approach can deliver a high quantity of quality products in short order. When “partnered” with a marina verses just a customer, we expedite our efforts ahead of others. This helps end users see that YOUR marina fleet is organized, clean and represents you as a premier company and not just a place to rent something that floats the moat.
We are creative and hold several marine and other patents. We are known locally as problem solvers and have helped solve many marine upholstery rental related problems to boot. We have been serving the rental boat community and boating community in southwest Florida for about 40 years and know what materials, designs and labor are needed to make a long lasting yet appealing design. We do not just recover to be as cheap as possible, we aim to solve needs. Mostly we listen and then alter designs so they perform better for each given use. In your case, high end rental boat clients with low to medium skill captains. I have seen these boats personally and know what needs to be done
With $5M liability and $1M on our vehicles you do not have to worry about getting sued because some uninsured company had an accident on, or with your property, or someone else for that matter.
We are a “brick and mortar” establishment and have been since 1976. This means our warranties have real value verses a man in a van, (whose warranty is as long as he is in your driveway) or operating out of his house. Customers and partners can always just walk into our store to solve any issues amicably and we tend to treat repeat customers like an extension of family. And as families go, we help each other. You have seen this first hand by us fixing something for you on a rush, discount, free and even letting a marina advertise to my customer base. (It takes a Community!)
We have weathered many a downturn in the market and do so by keeping our costs low and value high. With a diversified product offering, strong cash flows and reserves, you can rest assured we will be around to service a warranty issue or help with a new project.
Many marinas and customers enjoy our ability to produce just about anything marine. We have fabrication capabilities in MIG & TIG welding, machining and bending to make new or repair aluminum steel and SST products. Canvas covers of all types. We also produce most, if not all, marine fabric and structures, such as, but not limited to: bimini tops, tee tops, tee top extensions, tension shades, dodgers, rigid and soft enclosures, inside and outside carpet, custom bags, sails, headliners, re-covers and custom upholstery. We also provide services such as retreatment of waterproofing and flame spread, cover installation and removal services. With a diversified staff of 18, one call does it call.

The motivation for Skrzynski’s career change was his family, including wife, Tammy, and two growing children that he would miss as he traveled around the world in his previous job. Marco Canvas had a solid reputation and a small core of talented people but improvements were needed in the way of additional technology, diversified product offerings and a sense of teamwork that would re energize the business. Skrzynski set out to offer all of these features. “When I first looked inside Marco Canvas I found an organization that was very individual oriented; what was missing was a team with like-minded goals,” he said.

Marco Canvas invested in the business and grew from four people in 2008 to a team of 18 today. The company’s vision is “creating more livable spaces,” which it applies to a diverse range of products for homes and boating. Fixed and retractable awnings, sun screens and patio enclosures, custom umbrellas, outdoor upholstery, all types of marine covers and a variety of custom metal fabrication are included in a wide range of offerings. Also playing an important role in the growth of Marco Canvas has been brand recognition for Sunbrella® brand fabrics, which is the company’s flagship offering. With all of the changes made since 2008, Skrzynski considers the creation of a production management system his single greatest achievement for Marco Canvas. ”
“With this system, if we have an order for a bimini top, for example, we now start by making a digital template that goes to our metals and/or fabrics department(s),” he said. “The frames are made at the same time the fabrics are being cut and sewn so one department is not waiting on another. This improved communication makes the product flow faster, more efficient and more accurate so customers can enjoy their new Sunbrella awning, patio or bimini top sooner. Skrzynski remains positive in his outlook for the business with an emphasis on increased efficiency and expansion of his digital library of patterns and exclusive product offerings. As his vision statement indicates, the focus is on offering a variety of products that “create more livable spaces” at home and on the water.
The School District of Collier County has partnered with Marco Canvas and Upholstery consecutively since 2001. They have provided the district with quality canvas walkway and awning covers to and for our portable classrooms as well as playground shades, bus loops and other shading needs. I would recommend this company without
hesitation. Their knowledge, expertise and experienced personnel are outstanding. All orders are handled personally and professionally from configuration to delivery and
installation. We are a highly satisfied customer.
Sincerely,
Nancy Sirko (Director of Purchasing)

Dear Marco Canvas,
Carl and I both think we won the lottery. Thank you for discovering our issue and the work you provided at no charge. We recommend Marco Canvas at every opportunity we have. Carl is President of the Marco Island Marina Association and is also Chairman of the Board of the NCH Healthcare System. He often meets with the Marco NCH board members and we love spending time on Marco. Marco Canvas is one of the reasons we have a tremendously positive attitude about "our" Island. We live in Naples but our heart is on Marco.
Sincerely,
Caroline and Carl Westman
Testimonial Background:
MC made a new Bimini top for their sail boat over one year ago from this letter. While walking the marina’s dock to work on another customer’s vessel we discussed their Bimini top had stitches that where coming undone. While stitches do not last forever we felt we must have gotten some thread that was not up to traditional quality. So we informed the customer of what was happening and that we would like to pull down the Bimini top and replace the thread and then reinstall it again at no charge! Most canvas shops would offer free replacement thread in one year or less from the manufacture but would charge for the labor to remove, replace and restitch. This is just one of the reasons to do business with Marco Canvas whose customer satisfaction & positive community reputation means everything to us.

The Marco Island Fire Department must respond to emergencies with speed and quality and many times we have to respond by water. When our vessels are in need of canvas or upholstery or we need a custom solution, we call on Marco Canvas.Marco Canvas knows we cannot keep one of our emergency vehicles out of commission for long, and any new or repaired products must stand up to the harsh conditions we face. We have chosen Marco Canvas for our jobs and would recommend them to anyone.
Sincerely,

Dear Marco Canvas,
When my boating partner Rich contracted you to redo our ancient and moldy vinyl upholstery I thought it was a lot of money to put into a 10-year-old, 2006 Vectra Deck Boat S-215. A Florida vessel. You may recall that you picked them up, did the work, and reinstalled them about a month ago, yesterday I re-commissioned the boat after summer storage and for the first time I pulled the covers off. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with the grade of vinyl you used, and the workmanship is superior to most manufactures standards. I have been an active boater on the Great Lakes as well as the Gulf of Mexico for 28 years and while not an expert I am experienced. Our boat looks new again so it turns out that you have added value beyond the cost of the job. Thanks for being there.

So Wendy and I just had our first chance to see the interior – you guys did an AMAZING job – once the lights, teak and holly sole are in, it will basically be a brand new boat! There are little extras everywhere that we didn’t expect, you refinished the little panels in the closets, the pleating on the seats, the way you finished the half-round at the rear of the forward bunk, you ran extra wire for lights on the forward centerline – the head protector around the hatch opening - it really is a remarkable transformation. And you reinstalled our cabinets where you could, and replaced the mirrors so I could easily locate the screw holes. You did a lot of extra work that is very much appreciated. I have all kinds of “before” pics and will take pics for you when it’s done – probably be a couple of weeks since I have to go back north for work. This is absolutely one of those “before and after” jobs that show the quality of your work.
Regards,
Wendy & John Gilmore
